    Payroll

    1. Conditional Formula Engine
      Formulas, as the name indicates are calculations that you could define in the system to perform calculations. From this version, TalentOz provides a powerful conditional formula engine for HR users to create any type of calculations required according to their needs.

      Conditional formula engine allows users to create their own ‘Criteria’ expressions using the operators available with the employee/system components. Users can select from the populated salary components, arithmetic operators to define rules and formulas according to the company’s rules and regulations.

    2. Overtime Process
      Overtime is the time worked beyond an agreed workweek. Overtime can wreak havoc on the operating budget of companies. It therefore needs to be handled with care. Calculation of overtime based on the conditional formula and its integration with the payroll process. From this version HR users can post and process the all OT requests and then make it as paid if payroll has been processed.
    3. Performance optimization in Indian Payroll
      Since payroll is a time-critical activity, TalentOz understands that payroll management is one of the most important activity of an organization, TalentOz Payroll module works coherently with other modules like attendance management, leave management and also efficiently calculating the payroll components like advances, loans, bonuses, tax deductions, statutory compliance in accordance with the organization’s policies while you processing the payroll. As a narrowly focused and transaction-oriented process, our payroll module has provided the required accuracy and timeliness. The income tax rules in India are complex and are constantly revised with changing economic conditions. There are number of clauses and sub clauses that need to be considered for accurate tax deduction. As you all aware that TalentOz automatically deducts taxes during payroll processing and generates all the necessary reports. Apart from generating the basic reports, TalentOz also automatically generates all statutory reports too while you process your payroll.

      Every business can benefit from an improved payroll management process. But knowing exactly what to change or implement can often be challenging. Just making random changes or simply installing new software is not the answer. For any payroll management system improvements to be truly effective the application needs to be overhauled the payroll’s overall process.
      TalentOz brings highly customized payroll automation and reporting system to our clients. TalentOz’s tailored reports come handy to aid in workforce management for the clients. So, we relooked our payroll process, reports, and procedures to help our client stay on track. TalentOz Payroll team developed, tested, and deployed a brand-new payroll process for our Indian clients. TalentOz leveraged insights from all our clients.

    4. Excel import for overtime component has been successfully integrated in the system.
    5. In providing Professional Tax Slab values, now a validation has been added to restrict the HR admin users from saving the same monetary values for the same slab.
    6. A new feature has been introduced in this version, so that HR admin users can adjust LOP days which is used to pay salary to employees or recover salary from employees if was deducted/paid incorrectly in previous months. Once this is done, the payment details will reflect accordingly for the selected process period. Similarly, a new menu has been added in the main menu for HR users to access the page.
    7. While locking payroll process, an option has been provided to lock LOP components, one time Earning/Deductions, Fixed Earning/Deductions/ LOP Adjustments, Attendance Pay, Absent Process etc., for the HR admin users from this version.
    8. EPF is a retirement benefit scheme that makes sure everybody has enough money for their retirement days. While EPS is a pension scheme offering pensions for employees. For better and accurate calculations rounding off is added for the contributions on employer EPF & EPS.
    9. For our Malaysian clients, a brand-new category called Permanent Resident (PR) is added in the application in calculating EPF. If any employee who obtained Permanent Resident status, employees will be able to make withdrawals and pre-withdrawals just as their Malaysian counterparts. Hence forth TalentOz application will automatically calculate EPF based on the employee resident status.
    10. From this version, Admin users can download PF statement by department wise. Also, the statement from now onwards include arrear components of employees.
    11. Some countries have labor policies to ensure that the employees getting adequate hours to rest. Also, the countries like India, set maximum working hours for all employees. In some cases, if any employees exceeding the standard hours of working, then TalentOz restrict with number of hours as per the polices and the remaining OT hours will be credited as a new Pay component.

    Leave

    1. In a large sized business organization, managing a large workforce is quite tedious and strenuous. An HR Manager cannot solely perform the task of managing a large workforce. This situation demands an efficient and robust human resource management software which can automate the key functions pertaining to human resources, making the employee management seamless and smart to execute. Here comes the feature. TalentOz happily introducing a brand-new feature called ‘Attendance Regularization’. By using this feature HR users can regularize their workers attendance based on the organization’s policy. This policy can be related to various factors, such as month end attendance processing or your sign in/out details for a period, not recorded, and so on. This feature acts as a smart solution for the HR users can view the list of employees with respective filter options and they can perform bulk actions.
    2. System is now updated with a new and upgraded Duty Roster Screen. TalentOz leverages insights from different clients and redesign the Duty Roster Screen to make our clients on track.
    3. In order to make application more effective, Position Classification filter option has been added in some reports.
    4. Every organization’s leave policies and regulations may vary. Taken into this into account TalentOz upgraded the leave module so that admin can override leave policy and apply leave.

    Time and Attendance

    1. Workflows are available to help manage changes to several standard types of employee information. Workflows are predefined for the following types of information to help you efficiently manage changes and keep your employees’ data accurate. Also, for T& A adjustment requests, now retraction option has been provided in the last level approval process. In the previous versions, this option is not available.
    2. Visibility of system status is one of the most important rules in UI design. Users want to feel in control of the system they’re using, which means they want to know and understand their current context at any given time, and especially when a system is busy doing work. A wait-animation progress indicator is the most common form of providing a system status for users when something is happening or loading. So, in order to improve aesthetics and also from usability point of view, a loading panel has been applied while change the schedules in the “Swap Entry” page in this version.
    3. A new feature has been implemented in this version. So that HR admin users can now segregate Pre- as well as Post- OT hours for better computation of the overtime hours of employees.
    4. For HR users, In Attendance Activity Report employee schedule & remarks columns has been added to make the report more usable and informative.

    Performance

    1. In general audit trails helps in the maintenance of a record related to system activity by means of system and application processes as well as by user activity of systems and applications. In order to maintain transparency in the scoring system and to track how the score values are in the system, a detailed audit trail is now made available for HR users to view the score changes occurred in different stages of performance appraisal form.
    2. Normalization of scores is intended to introduce greater objectivity in the employee performance review software of an organization. So, from this version, normalization score values can be made available to import for HR users.
    3. Auto score calculation has been successfully implemented for goals of employees based on their achieved values.
    4. HR users can now use system more effectively because BU, Dept and some additional filters are added in the approval form in the performance module.
    5. In order to make HR custom tasks easy, TalentOz introduced an option for HR to add/delete items for any sections in appraisal form.
    6. When due date is crossed for any approvals, then from this version of TalentOz, the form will not available for any action and its actions are restricted as the due date is crossed.
    7. HR users can now customize the settings. Based on the configuration settings notifications will be sent automatically to the recipients provided.
    8. Mail notifications for Form preparation and Scoring stage based on actions has been successfully implemented in this version of TalentOz.
    9. 1-on-1s (“One-on-ones”) are a great way to encourage frequent performance check-ins and conversations between managers and their direct reports. The concept is straightforward. During a performance appraisal both the manager and his direct report meet and discuss about the performance, engagement and workload so on. From this version Managers can reschedule their 1:1 meeting for past and current date.
    10. Added new additional fields (Recommendation items, Approval level) in Performance status report for easy management and to improve the scope of the status report.
    11. Based on the requests from clients, e-mail content has been drafted for their specific requirements and successfully integrated in the system to make the clients on par with their company policies and regulations.
    12. In bulk and auto reminder notification settings, Due date has been changed from plan level to employee level to make the system easier to access.
    13. System is now updated with a privilege level access for viewing overall feedback option. It is configurable in settings page.

    Employee

    1. Employee Creation Import has been successfully integrated from this version of TalentOz.
    2. Employee groups are considered as personnel structure which is a part of enterprise structure. For HR users download option has been provided for Employee Groups from this updated version of TalentOz.
    3. Employee groups represent a primary subdivision of personnel in an organization. Also, employee groups allow HR users to group a set of employees together. They can define employee groups based on common criteria according to their requirements. In order to make HR users tasks much easier “Employee Number” and “Employee Name” filters have been added in the employee group.
    4. An employee resignation always causes some disruption in the workflow. Suppose an employee offers resignation and the status will be visible in career progression also. TalentOz from this version successfully implement this feature for clients.
    5. In Employee wizard screen, to make HR users tasks easier two new details named Salary details & Statutory details has been successfully integrated in the system.
    6. Bands and Grades depend on the size of the company and the way it operates. The levels of authority and management existing or envisaged by the company. In particular, Band denotes a pay band. A band can contain so many grades. But each grade within the same band may have varying grade-pay. The Salary Band can be used to differentiate between positions. In order to make business easier for companies TalentOz successfully implemented Band & Grade (Orderings & Dependent) in this version.
    7. While viewing Employee Hierarchy by the employees, the application is now updated that employee (Logged in user) will be shown with the hierarchy tree of corresponding user only.
    8. From this version of TalentOz, whenever HR admin users updating any employee’s Employee Status should mandatorily update the employee’s Employment status too in order to maintain the employee record intact.

    Learning & Development

    1. For a big business conglomerate client to track their employees Learning and Development, TalentOz customizes the following widget 1) Training Compliance – Planned Vs Executed, Average Training Hours per employee, Total Training Hours – Drill down from Hotel till employee, Average Attendees/Session percentage vs Department Employee Count, Top departments with maximum sessions, Top departments with maximum hours of training, Year to date program hours -> drill down to Business Unit -> drill down to departments, Trainers with most training hours – top 10, Head Count Vs Attended Users.
